Erin Denholm has been in home care most of her professional career. After receiving her BSN degree in 1981 from Mt. St. Joseph, she pursued her first love, public health nursing, working in the U.S. Virgin Islands Public Health System operating clinics and doing home visits in the rain forest and public housing units. She then channeled that passion into a career in home care which has spanned twenty plus years.
Erin joined Centura as the Director of Home Care for the PorterCare Hospital system in 1995. Erin was responsible for the consolidation of the home care, infusion and hospice operations for the Denver metropolitan service area. Subsequently, she was promoted to her current position overseeing home care, hospice, home infusion, home oxygen and home medical equipment for the entire state.
In addition to her extensive home care and managed care experience, Erin's credentials include an MSN degree from Regis University. She has served on the Home Care Association of Colorado board of directors in numerous capacities including President and the Rocky Mountain Childrens Choir board of directors. In 2003 Erin was selected for a three-year fellowship with The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, which is the nation’s largest philanthropic organization devoted exclusively to health and health care. Its goals are to ensure that all Americans have access to quality health care at reasonable costs; to improve the way services are organized and provided to people with chronic health conditions. Erin is collaborating with a nationally recognized team of coaches and instructors from within the health care industry and other sectors of the economy. Erin has remained in her current position at Centura Health while completing her leadership project. Erin is committed to accessible, integrated health care which cherishes individual dignity and choice.
