Easy ways to make your gift to Porter Hospice Foundation
We are grateful for our community’s continuing support and thank all of you who regularly contribute financially to assist Porter Hospice in meeting the needs of our patients and their families. Our Foundation offers many simple ways to make a donation.
General Contributions
We welcome general, outright donations to Porter Hospice Foundation at any time. These gifts will be used for the area that has the greatest current need for financial support or you may designate your donation. We can arrange for monthly, quarterly or semi-annual contributions using a credit card. This allows our donors the opportunity to budget their giving and do away with paperwork and also gives Porter Hospice a sustaining cash flow throughout the year.
Gifts of Remembrance
Memorial gifts may be made for any occasion. Births, anniversaries, deaths and other life-cycle events are wonderful opportunities to create or add to an already established memorial for a loved one or special friend and we are pleased to receive donations in their name. This type of gift may be acknowledged on one of our Trees of Life located at The Johnson Center Residence or the High St. Bereavement and Healing Center. Contributions of $100 to $499 will be acknowledged with an engraved silver leaf and gifts of $500 and above will be acknowledged with a gold leaf. Engraved bricks are available at The Johnson Center for gifts of $1,000.
Bequests
A gift can be made through a will or living trust which will not reduce your current income. This type of contribution can be specified to include a set dollar amount, a percentage of the estate or a certain remainder of the estate after others are provided for or a certain asset belonging to the estate.
Beneficiary Gifts
Naming Porter Hospice Foundation as a beneficiary in your life insurance policy is terrific way for our donors to help Porter Hospice Foundation ensure the stability of hospice care in our community for future generations.
Charitable Annuities and Trusts
Agreements between Porter Hospice Foundation and you can establish a guaranteed income for the rest of your life. There are many ways to increase your present income and provide continued support for hospice after you are gone. At the same time, you can reduce the amount of income and estate taxes that might be required.
