Hundreds turn out for celebration and tour of expanded campus

DENVER (June 18, 2012) – It was just one year ago that St. Anthony Hospital moved 120 patients from St. Anthony Central Hospital to the new 560,000-square-foot hospital in Lakewood. Since then, the hospital and medical campus have continued to expand. To celebrate the past year of positive change, growth and new state-of-the-art facility, St. Anthony Hospital hosted more than 400 visitors from the community at its campus this weekend to tour the medical plazas, take advantage of complimentary health care services and participate in fun activities. Some of the highlights from the past year include:

• A new CEO, Jeff Brickman, FACHE, took the helm in September. In addition to his responsibilities as president and CEO of St. Anthony Hospital, Brickman serves as president of Centura Health’s Mountain and North Denver Operating Group, which also includes Avista Adventist Hospital, OrthoColorado Hospital, St. Anthony North Hospital and St. Anthony Summit Medical Center.
• In November, Centura Health, one of St. Anthony Hospital’s sponsors, announced that it had entered into exclusive negotiations with Brownfield Partners, LLC to redevelop the former St. Anthony Central Campus. St. Anthony Hospital will honor its longtime commitment and legacy to the community surrounding the former site, by providing ongoing health care services including urgent care, primary care, imaging, specialty clinics and Health Passport, a community health education program.
• In February, DaVita Clinical Research® (DCR®), announced the execution of a definitive lease agreement to enter the St. Anthony Hospital campus with a 35,000 square-foot, 80-bed facility in Medical Plaza 1. The research center will open this summer.

• Medical Plazas 1 and 2 were completed and include the St. Anthony Breast Center, the St. Anthony Cancer Center, the Diagnostic Imaging Center, Cardiac Rehabilitation, an outpatient pharmacy, the Senior Health Center and more.
